RMT Implementation Plans: Quick Start & Standard 🚀

Right-Minded Teamwork Implementation Plans

To apply Right-Minded Teamwork (RMT), teams can choose one of two distinct, proven implementation paths:

  • The Quick Start Plan or
  • The comprehensive Standard Plan.

Both provide a deliberate, real-world approach to team building that results in high performance and sustained 100% Customer Satisfaction.

1. The Standard Plan: Three Workshops + 90-Day Team Operating System

The Standard Plan is a comprehensive, sequential approach designed to integrate the entire RMT 5-Element Framework into a team over time. It typically involves three major workshops guided by an RMT Facilitator, followed by the adoption of the continuous, 90-day Team Operating System (Element #4).

Workshop Structure:

  • Preparation & Orientation: The Team Leader and Facilitator prepare. Teammates are oriented to the 5-Element process and the creation of Work Agreements (Element #3). An initial Team Performance Factor Assessment is conducted.
  • First Workshop (Psychological Focus): Focuses on Element #2 (Psychological Goals) and Element #3. The team clarifies values and creates Work Agreements to resolve immediate issues, providing an “early win.”
  • Second Workshop (Business & Operations): Focuses on Element #1 (Business Goals). The team resets the Business Goal and defines the Team Operating System (Element #4) structure, identifying the first 90-day improvement opportunities.
  • Third Workshop (Teammate Development): Focuses on Element #5 (Teammate Development). Teammates identify improvements in their individual attitudes and behaviors using the Right Choice Model or 7 Mindfulness Training Lessons.

Ongoing (The 90-Day Cycle): The team follows the Team Operating System cycle to assess progress, identify new opportunities, and achieve continuous improvement. The facilitator co-facilitates the fourth workshop and then transitions duties to the team.

2. The Quick Start Plan: Rapid Improvement Cycle

The Quick Start Plan is designed to allow teams to initiate their RMT journey immediately without requiring an in-depth study of the entire system. It focuses on rapidly diagnosing and resolving one or two critical team issues using immediate Work Agreements.

Quick Start Steps:

  1. Identify Issue: Select a specific teamwork issue that needs addressing or correcting.
  2. Workshop 1 (Define & Agree): Discuss the issue until all teammates agree on the problem, then define a Work Agreement that provides a concrete solution.
  3. Implement & Measure: Teammates live the agreement, track progress, and measure results.
  4. Repeat: The team repeats steps 1–3 every 2–3 months to build a culture of continuous improvement.
