Right-Minded Teamwork Attitudes and Behaviors

A list of over 20 Right-Minded Teamwork Attitudes and Behaviors

Thoughts and attitudes always precede teamwork behavior.

Right-Minded attitudes come from Reason. Wrong-minded attitudes come from Ego.

The good news is that right-minded attitudes are natural. They are already inside you and your teammates.

When you think about any of the wrong-minded Ego attitudes listed in this downloadable article, ask yourself,

“Was I born with these attitudes?” Your answer will be “no.”

Creating Right-Minded Teamwork in Any Team

The truth is you learned those wrong-minded attitudes from Ego. That means you can unlearn them, too.

These Attitudes and Behaviors are included in the Leader’s Guide: How to Use Right Choice to Create Right-Minded Teamwork in Any Team.

Change Your Mind, Decision-Maker

In 35 years of team-building facilitation, I heard way too many well-intentioned teammates say,

“That’s just the way I am. I can’t change.”

That is simply not true. What is true is their refusal to change their minds.

When someone says they can’t change, they are really saying their behavior is more powerful than their mind. As soon as they finally realize it’s their mind that is in charge, they have opened the way for happiness and inner peace.

Reason, Ego and You – the Decision-Maker

Three entities within you influence your daily choices as a Right-Minded Teammate.

Our Reason, Your Ego and the Right-Minded Teamwork MythThese three are Ego, Reason, and Decision Maker.

Ego and Reason are your teachers.

The Decision Maker is the part of your mind that decides which teacher you will listen to and follow.

You, the Decision-Maker, are a student in the classroom of life. This classroom takes many forms. Your team is one of your classes.

As the Decision-Maker, you always have free will to follow either Reason or Ego. It is your choice, and only yours. You are 100% responsible for what you think and choose to do.

For more on these three characters, read Reason, Ego, and the Right-Minded Teamwork Myth.
