Reason: The Right-Minded Guide to Oneness 💡

By Dan Hogan ・ 2 minutes to read

Reason Right-Minded Teamwork

Reason is a mythological character and symbolic guide representing the part of the collective mind that always speaks for Right-Minded attitudes and behaviors. It is the team’s internal, quiet, and gentle teacher that cultivates and extends Oneness.

As the opposite of the noisy Ego, Reason helps the Decision-Maker differentiate between Right-Minded and wrong-minded choices.

Reason’s Core Teachings

The philosophy guided by Reason is founded on two universal truths that define the Right-Minded Teamwork (RMT) Myth:

  1. None of us is as smart as all of us.
  2. Do No Harm and Work as One.

Reason teaches the Golden Rule of teamwork: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This translates into practical, collaborative behaviors: being firm yet gentle, being allies, not adversaries, and consistently choosing to accept, forgive, and adjust attitudes and behaviors to resolve conflict and achieve goals.

Right-Minded Teamwork's Reason, Ego and the Decision-Maker

The Myth and the Choice

The RMT Myth explains that once, there was only Reason, and everyone worked together as One with all needs met. Separation began with the Ego’s “tiny, mad idea” that one could gain more by working alone. Reason offered a choice: follow the foolish thought (fall asleep in the Battleground) or continue working as one (stay in the Unified Circle).

The Decision-Maker inside every teammate constantly chooses between these two guides:

  • Ego: Noisy, judgmental, focused on scarcity and separateness, leading to attack and blame.
  • Reason: Quiet, kind, focused on abundance and oneness, leading to collaboration and forgiveness.

The Moment of Reason

When teammates face conflict and genuinely desire a better way, they are ready for a Moment of Reason—a moment of revelation, clarity, or sanity. This occurs when the Decision-Maker opens their mind to Reason’s gentle guidance.

In this moment, a teammate can affirm their commitment to collaboration by saying:

I am here to be truly helpful. I am here to represent Reason, who sent me. I do not have to worry about what to say or what to do because Reason who sent me will direct me.

Reason, Ego & the Right-Minded Teamwork Myth - Philosophy and Process

This conscious choice to follow Reason inevitably leads the mind back to the forgiving Unified Circle of Right-Minded Thinking, transforming the team into a safe Classroom where learning and growth occur.

Action

Reason is a mythological character and symbolic guide who shows you how to think and behave in a Right-Minded way.
