For more than 40 years, I worked alongside over 500 teams across seven countries. As an organizational development coach, performance consultant, and Certified Master Facilitator, I supported leaders and teammates overcome conflict, strengthen trust, and build emotionally mature, high‑performing teams.

The Foundation: A Universal Approach to Oneness
Right-Minded Teamwork® (RMT) was not created in a theory lab. It grew out of real conversations with real teammates doing real work.
While RMT is a business-oriented system, it is rooted in a philosophy of applied mindfulness. The RMT process aligns with all moral systems—including A Course in Miracles—that teach acceptance, forgiveness, and adjustment as the path to peace and productivity.
In this system, your team is a learning classroom. It is a space where teammates learn to recognize the two teachers in their minds:
- Ego: Leading to conflict and the battleground
- Reason: Leading to Oneness, which is above the battleground.
By choosing Reason, teams move from “Lower Loop” bickering to “Upper Loop” collaboration, ensuring they Do No Harm and Work as One®.
Who RMT Is For
RMT is for any leader or facilitator who believes their work team is like a family—a place where shifting your own attitudes and behaviors doesn’t just benefit the team’s customer, it benefits you.
The RMT roadmap supports teamwork at every stage:
- Newly Forming Teams: Establishing a solid foundation from Day 1.
- Reforming Teams: Navigating the “revolving door” as teammates leave and join.
- Good Teams Striving for Greatness: Moving from competence to consistent high performance.
- Teams in Conflict: Addressing and resolving root-cause dysfunctions.
The RMT 5-Element Framework
Across thousands of hours, I observed patterns that formed the RMT 5-Element Framework, a continuous improvement loop that works for teams of any size. This approach identifies the specific issues blocking performance—such as unclear roles or disrespectful communication—and facilitates the creation of Work Agreements that resolve them.
The result is a team that works as one — not through force or fear, but through shared commitment and right‑minded choices.
Books, Tools, and a Series of Practical Teamwork
I have documented the RMT philosophy and process in eight how-to books, designed for leaders to use with their teammates or for facilitators to use with their client teams.
- Explore the 8-Book Series: From the “Ultimate Team-Building Method” to specialized guides on Work Agreements.
- Your Starting Point: I recommend reading Reason, Ego & the Right-Minded Teamwork Myth. It is a short story about the mindset shift required to move from Ego to Reason.
- Free Resources: My website offers a vast library of free PDFs and team exercises developed through decades of field application.
A New Chapter, A Continuing Mission
Although I am retired from active facilitation, my mission remains: to share these practical “work as one” methods with leaders and facilitators everywhere.
Every week, I share “Gold Nuggets” from the RMT framework here and on my Substack. These are actionable insights designed to be implemented with your team immediately. No “silly games,” just field-tested tools.
