To Train Your Mind means to choose Reason’s guidance over Ego’s noise, ensuring your mind consistently practices and lives your team’s Work Agreements (your Psychological Goals RMT Element #2).
This conscious effort prevents your mind from wandering into adversarial thinking, especially during difficult team situations.
The Power of the Decision-Maker
When your mind is well-trained in Reason’s Decision-Making ways, Ego attacks do not throw you off course. Instead of reacting with defense or blame (the Battleground), you pause for a moment of Reason, refocus on Oneness, and remember to live your agreements in the safety of the Classroom.
To actively train your mind, you must be willing to hold yourself accountable by asking the transformative question from the Right Choice Model:
“How did I create, promote, or allow this difficult situation to happen?”
By stepping back and listening to Reason’s voice for the answer, you refuse to passively condone your mind’s miscreations. You shift from being a victim to being a self-aware, responsible teammate.
Reason’s Lesson: Teach to Learn
The act of training your mind is the continuous process of choosing to return to the Unified Circle of Right-Minded Thinking.
Reason reminds you of the profound truth of this choice: “As you teach, so will you learn,” and do not forget that what you teach is teaching you.
By following Reason, you teach Love’s message: Do No Harm, Work as One. ®
