12. Design the Second Workshop
In Step 12 of our 12-step course in how to design a Right-Minded Team Building Workshop, you’ll learn how to:
- Schedule a meeting with the team leader to design the second team-building workshop
- Transfer design and facilitation responsibilities and/or re-contract
Transferring Responsibilities or Re-Contracting for Second Team Building Workshop
Successful RMT facilitators find joy in transferring their design and facilitation skills to their teams.
Be glad to do this task, because the rewards for you and the team are great.
When you ended the workshop two months ago, you and the leader agreed you would call to schedule a follow-up meeting.
When that day comes, here are the questions you will discuss.
- What did the team achieve? What did the team not achieve?
- When do you want to schedule the second workshop?
- Would you like me to help you design and facilitate that workshop? If yes, please assign two teammates to work with me so that they can eventually take responsibility for your future team building.
In planning the next workshop, let’s
- administer the RMT teammates survey again,
- interview all the teammates, just like before
- create a second Punch List and
- follow the same 12-step process we used last time.
During the next workshop, let’s
- be certain to celebrate lessons learned
- fine-tune our work agreementsA Work Agreement is a collective teammate promise to transform non-productive, adversarial behavior into collaborative teamwork behavior. More
