Certified Master Facilitator (CMF)

By Dan Hogan ・ 1 minute to read

The Certified Master Facilitator (CMF) credential is the highest mark of excellence for professional facilitators worldwide. It is awarded by the International Institute for Facilitation (INIFAC), the world leader in professional facilitation certification.

INIFAC offers a total of 8 certifications, with the CMF representing the pinnacle of the profession. Attaining the CMF requires demonstrating a mastery of skills, standards, and competencies needed to guide groups toward achieving complex, collaborative results.

Value of the CMF Credential

A CMF provides clients with assurance that they are working with an expert who adheres to the highest global ethical and professional conduct standards. CMFs are adept at managing group dynamics, addressing tension, and focusing a group’s energy on defined, strategic outcomes. The certification confirms a facilitator’s commitment to mastery, adherence to professional standards, and focus on collaborative results.

I became a CMF in 2006 and served on the INIFAC board from 2007 to 2014.
