Hi, I’m Dan Hogan. Thanks for stopping by. I created this site to help you design and facilitate effective team building workshops.
Right-Minded Teamwork [RMT] is a proven team building method. It was created by Lord & Hogan LLC consultants. RMT evolved from their collective, in-the-field, experience. Together they worked with hundreds of teams and thousands of teammates in the USA and six other countries. Many of their team building assignments lasted one to two years.
Whether you’re a team building facilitator, team leader or teammate, you’ve come to the right place.
This method is based on focused work and practical advice. RMT doesn’t waste your time advocating games or other indirect approaches because those approaches don’t help build successful teams. RMT creates and sustains effective teams. Effective teams create happy customers. Achieving 100% customer satisfaction is what team building should be all about. And that is what you will find in Right-Minded Teamwork.
Why You Can Trust Right-Minded Teamwork
I conducted my first training class in 1980 and facilitated my first team-building workshop in 1986 for a promising young computer software company who was working on what is now hyperlink technology. Didn’t we do a terrific job in that workshop? Hyperlinks are an international success and a technology everyone uses daily.
Ok, I suppose I can’t take any credit for hyperlink technology, but I fell in love with the idea of becoming a team building facilitator. Since then, I personally facilitated over 500 teams through multiple team building workshops. I promise, this process works.
My firm, Lord & Hogan LLC, grew to five full-time employees at our pinnacle and was located in Houston, Texas, USA. I have a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from the University of Houston, with a special focus in career development and life-work planning. I’m a CMF Certified Master Facilitator. I also served on the board of the International Institute for Facilitation.
After years of facilitating full-time, I now offer this method to you through this website. I’m blessed to have a wonderful and loving wife, one dog and two cats. The children and grandchildren are grown and on their own.
Ah … life is good. I am blessed to be in these last stages of my career and eventual full retirement.
Here’s a nice note I received from a great client after he went through the program:
Just a quick note to tell you I successfully used the principles of Right-Minded Teamwork in a community mediation setting I recently completed. Your book and pocket cards helped a team of volunteers who provided a service to the community overcome dysfunctional behavior and develop a mediated team agreement that allowed the services to be resumed … I would recommend Right-Minded Teamwork to any mediator engaged in dysfunctional behavior in community mediation.

Dan removes deposits and cleans things up so they can run right.” He has a unique ability to put people immediately at ease in tough situations. But it wasn’t just about making everyone feel good. “If you had asked me 2 months ago if the leadership team would reach this level of performance, my answer would have been emphatically, “NO!” Now that we are on this road, I don’t ever want to go back.”
“I’ve been a trainer/facilitator for over 15 years and I thought I knew a lot about facilitating conflict meetings, but the Lord & Hogan’s Work Agreement process beats all that I ever seen. I’m looking forward to learning and using that tool here at Prairie Island.”
“Lord & Hogan takes time to assess and evaluate the individuals and the dynamics of a team. Then works with the group and the individuals to help them function at their best. They provide a flexible, non-cookie-cutter approach.”
